Has anyone had an issue with smartlist's not showing up in the client's GP
even though the smartlist exists and security is set to allow
access/visibility?

If the smartlist was created using Smartlist Builder, you have to grant
access to custom smartlists in Smartlist Builder security.

Hi VGrinam:

I have already granted all pertinent access in the SLB security window. I
can't understand why it is not showing on the user computer.

Try This!

Login into widows with Adminstrator user Id and log into GP with sa in
Fabrikam then look for Smart List if its exist.

then log back in normal and check with other user Id.

First time administrator access smart list it creates registry key in
registry which is later used by other users in gp to display smartlist.

this entry is created with Administrator user rights access smart list for
first time.

Hope this helps
Akram.

Ryan - did this solve your problem? I'm having the same issue and this
didn't fix it for me. Have you found a fix?

I have a smiliar case.
On the server, and for user sa the created smartlist works fine, but for
other users(and on the same server) the smartlist appears but it doesn't
retrieve any data!

any one have a clue?

I just tried something and it worked out.
In SQL Server, grant permissions for the related table/view to DYNGRP (or
the user)
