When i go to smartlist / financial / account transactions it shows my foreign
currency Hong Kong dollars with the letters HKD before the amount. For eg.
HKD10,589.18. Hong Kong dollars is the functional currency for that
particular company as well.
When I export to excel it wont let me do any totals, the letters HKD are in
the way and then I have to edit the excel worksheet. Is this correct behavior
for smartlist?

Yes, this is the correct behavior. You can either run a formula in Excel to
remove the HKD or use this tip I learned from Leslie Vail:

In the dex.ini file on the computer where you are exporting to Excel, add
the following line:
ExplorerFormatCurrency=FALSE

This will cause all currency amounts (including US $) not to be formatted
when they are exported to Excel from SmartList.

Can you post a list of these little known dex.ini options? I think Leslie
posted some once.

Do you know of a document or blog listing them?

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with the company currency (S/.) but using those two options in dex.ini seems not to remove the currency. I'm using GP 2010 v11.00 SP2. Don't know if it has to do with the versions. Thanks
