I am upgrading from GP V9 sp2 to GP V10 sp4 on a test server. Using the DVD
download of GP V10 FP1 with SP4.

After upgrading, running GP Utilties to upgrade the companies. Under Load
Tables I receive the following error message,

"The following SQL statement produced an error:
EXEC sp_bindefault N'[dbo].[GPS_CHAR]', N'[eConnect_Out].[DOCTYPE]' EXEC
sp_bindefault N'[dbo].[TA_DATE]', N'[eConnect_Out].[DATE1]' EXEC

Click on the [OK] button, then receive,
"ERROR [Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]The data type or table
column '[eConnect_Out].[DBNAME]' does not exist or you do not have
permission."

Click on the [OK] button, then receive,
"Microsoft Dynamics GP Utilites install/upgrade failed."

Click on the [OK] button, then the program exists. I don't even use eConnect.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Try upgrading to V10 SP1 first from V9.0 SP2 and see if the error
recurs

Resolved. I noticed the 3 eConnect tables did not exist in the database
before running the GP Utilities, so I dropped the 3 tables and re-ran the GP
Utilities update. It succedeed the second time without error. -Jim

How do you drop tables that do not exist? I have a colleague facing this same error.
