Unable to delete unused P/N's

We have part numbers that have been setup and placed in a BOM but never used in any transactions. After removing the items form the BOMs and trying to delete the part numbers we get the message that the part number is used in a BOM and must be removed from the BOM before it can be deleted. There is apparently a flag being set in some table when the item is first used in a BOM but it is not cleared when the items are removed. Any idea(s) what table is holding this data?

have you check SVC06200 and SVC06201
